September 09 club kit

This kit features liquid pearls in opal and great paper from My Mind's Eye and cardstocks from Coredinations.

Use the brown cardstock as the base for the layout. Cut one of the patterned papers in half and use on the bottom half of both pieces of cardstock. Cut two strips of daisies from the patterned paper and adhere along the middle of the layout. Mat pictures with cardstock and patterned paper (the stripes paper is wonderful for this.) Use liquid pearls to create centers in the daisies and to draw the flourish designs on the stripe paper. Title and journal using cardstock.

More information on using liquid pearls:
Liquid Pearls are inexpensive opalescent paints that add 3-dimensional quality to your project. Use them to decorate paper, fabric, wood, or any craft project. Use liquid pearls to dot, draw, outline, color, write, glue, or create borders. Embellish scrapbook pages, cards, stickers, clothing or accessories, Easter eggs or holiday ornaments, or special occasion decorations. This product is much like the puff paint in craft stores but with a superfine tip for precise application.
Liquid Pearls is so versatile. Here are a few ideas:
• Dilute to make more like a pearlescent paint. Mix one or more colors together to create a blending of colors.
• Make dots in place of faux flatback pearls in a variety of sizes. Control the size of the dot by the squeeze of the bottle. The harder the squeeze, the thicker the flow.
• Embellish flowers with Liquid Pearls. Outline large details such as veins of leaves or centers of flowers.
• Color in areas that you want to highlight.
• Create a border using one or more colors of liquid pearls.
• Add additional color or accents to your Liquid pearls surfaces by coloring with a permanent ink pen once dried.
• Apply and swirl Liquid Pearls with a toothpick. Add a “froth-type” finish for coffee and cocoa. You can also swirl in a tiny drop of brown dye or Stickles color to enhance the effect.
• Create a rosebud by choosing two related colors – one light and the other dark. Place a large dot with the lighter color where you want your rosebud. Using a pin or paper piercer, place a small amount of the darker color on the point. You can always add more but cannot take away. Lightly swirl the darker color into the lighter. Don’t swirl too much. You don’t want to mix the colors but to be able to see the swirl of the darker colors. You may want to try this technique first before using on your project.
• Create flourishes.
• Create lettering by writing with your liquid pearls.
• Paint liquid pearls on your item and then sprinkle with glitter.
• Cut die cut letters and paint with perfect pearls to create puffy letters.
Tips:
• Always use Liquid Pearls as the last step in your projects. A long drying time is required of at least 1-2 hours. The thicker the application, the longer the drying time is required. I can't tell you how many projects I have ruined due to impatience
• Liquid Pearls has a tendency to create a pointy cone shape when you lift the applicator tip off of the paper. To prevent this pointy look, apply the paint then gently flick the back of the paper with your fingers until the Liquid Pearls becomes rounded. You may want to practice this first before using on your project. Make sure when lifting your project to hold the paper evenly. Tilting the paper causes the Liquid Pearls to move in the direction of the tilt.
• Once dry, finger or other pressure can also cause it to smoosh or leave marks.
• Place all practice paper and your project out of the way. Putting another project on top of a not yet dry project is a mistake that happens if not careful.
• If your applicator tip becomes clogged, insert a pin down the tip carefully and wiggle it carefully. If you can see the clog at the top, pull out with your fingers.
• If used on fabric, let it dry 24 hours and do not wash for three days.
